Here’s an EP about a subject we don’t hear often. Ella Chen (陳嘉樺) of the girl group S.H.E, came out with her first solo EP (separate from Hebe and Selina) for the first time this summer. And why? Ella had a little pet pug called 薔薔, or Qiang Qiang. It passed away during a surgical operation. All the profits go to animal shelter associations.

The song itself is definitely sad, but at the same time hopeful for her dog. It focuses more on the good times than the actually parting of ways, and as such it is not a regular sob story. I myself found it extremely moving, and anyone who has lost a beloved pet will find it the same way too.
